上海机场边检站方面12日披露，中新互免签证实施3天，经上海浦东国际机场口岸出入境的两国免签人员多达10837人次，占往来两国旅客总数的九成，其中中国内地居民近1万人次，是去年同期的15倍。同时，上海浦东国际机场也迎来了870余名免签入境的新加坡籍旅客，是去年同期的9倍，以旅游和春节探亲访友者为主。

“我是跟团来上海、苏州旅游的，趁着龙年春节，感受一下中国传统文化氛围。”首批“尝鲜”免签旅游，乘坐航班入境的Choo女士介绍。“我太太是上海人，我与中国很多城市都有业务往来，经常是两边来回飞，之前中国单方面免签只能停留15天，现在能多达30天，对于我们来说简直太好了！”乘坐航班入境中国的TAN先生激动地说。
